Thoughts by Abigail: Launch
I’ve been wanting to expand my art business into a “creative hub” for some time. I would journal about it, brainstorm names, daydream about the different products I could create, and before I knew it a year or so had passed. So one day instead of writing down ideas I just started doing it. Crazy how you can get things done when you get out of your own way!
The name “by Abigail” is a little general on purpose. Of course I’ll continue creating art and fielding custom commissions, but I’m a lover of details, so I’ll also be creating more personalized gifts and products that have utility: dishes, napkins, more stationary, etc. I also wanted an outlet to share not only business updates but also other thoughts, like my favorite things, NYC recs, and whatever else comes to mind. You can keep up with everything via this brand blog, aptly named “Thoughts by Abigail.”
Fun fact about my newest art medium: 100% of the plates I draw on are thrifted! There won’t be a set style as a consistent offering, rather, in true thrifted fashion they will be varied in style and categorized by size. I’ll have some that I’ll draw on and sell on my site as-is, and I’ll also have some set aside for commissions. If you have a specific commission request, I can try to source the dish you’re imagining, or share what I have available at the moment.
And now for some quick-fire business updates:
Happy relaunch! To celebrate, take 20% off the whole site, including commissions, with code LAUNCH20. Offer lasts through the end of March.
One lucky winner will receive a free custom large plate, details on my IG (@byabigail_co). Winner announced March 28.
Coming soon: new prints, printed goods, restaurant merch (manifesting that), etc. I’ll be more specific in upcoming posts!
Thank you all so much for your commissions and requests that have inspired me to expand this business into an exciting new venture. Welcome to by Abigail!
